Vira Danak Bhatt, M.S., is an informatics specialist and member of the Pathology Informatics team at the UC Davis Health System. She has been involved in the development and implementation of California Electronic Birth Registration System and other CALIVRS projects. She has worked as an informatics specialist for federally funded EHR & EMR integration and reporting projects and is a certified advanced SAS programmer.
Sukhvir S. Brar, MBA, is a healthcare quality improvement business analysis manger at Blue Shield of California. He holds a B.S. in psychology from UC Davis, an M.A. in industrial/organizational psychology from Sacramento State University and an MBA from the University of California, Davis Graduate School of Management. He is also a healthcare analytics and statistical analyses consultant for various educational institutions. Brar has more than 10 years of direct experience conducting and managing research studies; conducting statistical analyses using SPSS, SAS, R and Excel; developing surveys; writing research grants and writing journal articles for publication. In addition to these technical skills, he continues to further his leadership skills by using various business intelligent software (Tableau, SAP Business Objects, Cognos, Salesforce) to help guide business decisions.
Brian Paciotti is a data scientist at the Clinical and Translation Science Center at UC Davis. He has over 10 years of experience working as a senior researcher and data scientist for government health departments and UC Davis. He is a recipient of the UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education Outstanding Service Award.
Tom Witmer has more than 25 years of experience in information technology strategy, management and operations. As vice president of information technology for the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Witmer’s responsibilities include IT support for Kaiser Permanente corporate business partners and their associated IT planning, investment management and operations. He is also co-leading the Kaiser Permanente Analytics program initiatives.
