What is a Digital Badge?
Digital badges are a type of micro-credential that verify the skills and knowledge you gained through your learning experience. They provide a trusted, shareable way to showcase your accomplishments to employers, colleagues and professional networks. Each badge contains verified information about the competencies you demonstrated and can be securely shared and validated online through Credly.

Available Programs and Badge Earning Criteria
- AI in Construction
Learners demonstrate practical knowledge of artificial intelligence applications in architecture, engineering and construction through assessments, hands-on exercises and an applied project. Participants explore tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, Claude and NotebookLM while practicing prompt engineering, document analysis, workflow automation and no-code AI solution design for real-world AEC use cases. - California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA)
Learners complete all five required CEQA courses and demonstrate competency in environmental review, compliance, mitigation monitoring, project management and EIR/EIS preparation. Completion includes participation in live online instruction, successful completion of coursework and projects and passing all quizzes with a score of 70% or higher. See the full earning criteria.
- Geographic Information Systems
Learners complete a sequence of GIS courses focused on ArcGIS tools, spatial analysis, database design, geoprocessing and mapping applications. Participants demonstrate the ability to analyze spatial data, build geo-relational databases, apply automation tools and create customized map projections and data visualizations for real-world applications. - Leadership: Emerging Leader
Learners build foundational leadership and management skills through interactive activities focused on communication, relationship-building, team development and leadership strategy. Participants complete a portfolio demonstrating their ability to apply leadership concepts, develop actionable goals and improve team effectiveness in evolving workplace environments. - Leadership: Executive Leadership
Learners complete advanced leadership training that includes executive coaching, leadership assessments, peer collaboration and organizational strategy development. Participants develop and present an Organizational Transformation Plan designed to address real challenges within their organization while strengthening leadership effectiveness and decision-making skills. - Leadership: Management Development
Learners complete leadership and process improvement training that includes applied project work, strategic planning, project validation and Lean Sigma frameworks. Participants develop and present recommendations and insights through a final project presentation while strengthening management, operational and problem-solving skills. - Lean Six Sigma Program
Learners complete intensive in-person training and applied project work focused on Lean Six Sigma methodologies and process improvement strategies. Participants lead a real-world improvement project, receive coaching and present measurable project outcomes during a final stage gate presentation. See the full earning criteria.
- Mediation
Learners complete all required mediation courses and demonstrate proficiency in conflict resolution, negotiation, communication and mediation practices through instructor-assessed role-playing scenarios, coursework and full participation in live training activities. See the full earning criteria.
- Python for Data Analysis
Learners complete five academic credit-bearing Python courses with grades of C or better while developing skills in programming, data analysis, machine learning, data visualization, and big data processing. Participants complete hands-on assignments and applied projects using tools and frameworks such as Jupyter, Pandas, NumPy, matplotlib, AWS and machine learning models. See the full earning criteria.
- Team Coaching
Learners complete advanced training in systemic team coaching through synchronous instruction, observed coaching practice, applied assignments and portfolio development. Participants demonstrate the ability to cultivate psychological safety, facilitate team collaboration, apply organizational systems thinking and co-create strategies that support high-value team performance. How to Earn a Digital Badge
- Complete a professional program from the list below.
- Finish all earning criteria.
- Complete the Claim Your Badge Form during your final course.
- Confirm your preferred email address in your profile.
- Select your program and click Submit.
