In session one, we’ll examine the seldom seen or produced Sondheim opus, Pacific Overtures with class commentary and discussion. In session two, we’ll view the re-working of the Gershwins’ Girl Crazy into Crazy for You with discussion after. Session three will include video of the stage version of Victor/Victoria starring Julie Andrews. We will see the 2015 production of Gypsy starring Imelda Staunton, who most recently portrayed Queen Elizabeth II in Netflix’s The Crown.
