As a timeless epic, the Bhagavad Gita has inspired such diverse thinkers as Thoreau, Emerson, Mahatma Gandhi and T.S. Eliot. The poem is a tale of a warrior
prince, Arjuna, confronted by the choice of the right path in a moral dilemma. In a dialog with his charioteer, the god Krishna, Arjuna is led to a higher understanding of the spiritual nature of man. We will apply Krishna’s teachings to today’s daily conflicts and to strategies on how to avoid regretting our actions. The instructor follows the translations and interpretations of the T. Krishnamacharya lineage, with minimal use of Sanskrit terms. No prior knowledge of the text is necessary.
