California State Capitol Buildings Tour: 1860-2016

How many of us who live in Northern California have yet to discover those historical and architectural gems, The California State Capitol Museum and The Stanley Mosk Library and Courts Building? These structures were restored to their earlier glory in 1982 and 2014, respectively, and each has a fascinating story to tell. Our visit includes interpretive tours of both the State Capitol Museum and the Stanley Mosk Library and Courts Building given by docents from the respective buildings. Note: Bus trip to the Capitol. Meet at UC Davis Extension, 1333 Research Park Dr., Parking Lot 81, at 9:00 a.m. to board the bus. Participants must be able to get on the bus on their own and be able to walk through the venues and surrounding grounds unassisted. There will be an hour-and-a-half break for lunch (cost of lunch is not included in the course fee). Participants will be given a map and a list of nearby restaurants.
