Fleetwood Mac formed in 1967 as a blues band, fronted by three guitar heroes and drummer Mick Fleetwood and bassist John McVie. Over the years, a string of extraordinary guitarists and singers came in and out of the band. With more than 50 years of experience, they have been identified with blues, jazz, rock and roll, rock, pop, folk rock and soft rock. This class will focus on songs from their wide range of genres, including Peter Green’s “Green Manolishi,” Bob Welch’s “Future Games,” Stevie Nicks’ “Landslide” and Lindsey Buckingham’s “The Chain.” We will listen to and discuss a number of their Grammy and Hall of Fame hits, as well as some lesser-known songs. Join us for learning, camaraderie and joyful music.
