This course is designed to prepare future clinicians for rigorous statistical analysis as it relates to patient care. Positive and negative predicative values as well as SD, CI and other equations will be calculated. Students will explore various sources of patient data and learn to select appropriate statistical tests based on given scenario and data set. Published studies will be analyzed for statistical methods applied and potential sources of bias and confounders. Time will also be spent practicing how to extrapolate study findings and communicate conclusions to patients.
