This two-part class looks at the life of Jane Austen, including the Regency Period and manners and customs of the time, and provides an overview of the most important themes of her novels. We’ll talk about how to decode them and a recommended reading list will be provided during the course. We will discuss Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, Mansfield Park, Northanger Abbey, Persuasion and Emma.
