Through the eyes of four worldly OLLI members, this panel discussion is a journey of discovery and enlightenment into the inner dynamics of world cultures. Our expatriates will share personal stories of living and working abroad, overcoming the daily challenges of language and cultural differences, and offering insights into how foreigners perceive Americans. Along the way, panelists will tantalize with historical, geographic and artistic vignettes from their countries of choice— Carolyn Gopalan on southern India, Donna Skinner on Costa Rica, Brian Higgins on Japan, and Rick and Peggy Becker on Romania. This is not your typical travelogue or cruise itinerary, but rather a multi-layered exploration into the diversity of our global community.
