Mickey Goes to War!

On December 7, 1941, hours after the attack on Pearl Harbor, military units moved into the Walt Disney Studio to protect nearby crucial industries like Lockheed. War
came to the Disney Studio! In this one-day course, we will talk about the many roles Walt and his artists played to help the war effort. The studio’s primary focus was the war and training films. We will see a sampling of these films that will cover the scope of wartime productions, such as Donald Gets Drafted, Der Fuehrer’s Face, Education for Death, Reason and Emotion, The New Spirit, Four Methods of Flush Riveting, and Food Will Win the War.
