Together, we will trace the main axes of conflict in the Middle East, noting their historical, religious, ethnic and geopolitical causes, and their current consequences. The lecture then acknowledges that the region is changing. Why? How? And will the changes be for the better or worse? The talk will be illustrated with multiple slides, and questions and comments will be welcome.
