Mindful Art

Mindful Art covers the basic principles of mindfulness, the neuroscience that supports the practice, meditation techniques and exploratory art practices. The first half of each session begins with mindfulness instruction and meditation practice followed by the second half: art studio—during which we employ simple art materials to give expression to the mindfulness lesson. Open to beginner to advanced art-makers. No formal art instruction, but many examples/suggestions on use of materials based on individual skill and comfort levels. A materials list will be provided prior to the start of class.
