The Nazi Third Reich annihilated six million European Jews and millions of others during the Holocaust. Winston Churchill called this event “the most horrible crime ever committed in the whole history of the world.” Examine how the principal Allied Powers–the United States, Britain and the Soviet Union–responded to the plight of those who were seeking to escape from the gears of the Nazi killing machine.
