Today 67 percent of the U.S. population is overweight, and 33 percent of adults are obese. Poor nutrition in the aging weakens immune systems and increases chronic-disease risk. This course is designed to help break the high-calorie, low-nutrition and chemical-loaded, junk-food eating habit so deeply imbedded in our nation’s diet. Learn how individuals, especially seniors, can easily incorporate affordable nutritious foods into their daily lives. Between sessions, participants will assess the real nutritional value of their favorite foods to help them improve dietary quality and intake.
