SPECIAL NOTICE: Due to a recent change in the racing schedule, this course date has been changed since the publication of our paper catalog. The new course date is FRIDAY, APRIL 20 - same time and place. Equine veterinarian Ron Jensen will accompany our OLLI group for a day at Golden Gate Fields, where we’ll enjoy a further discussion on the inner world of Thoroughbred racing over lunch and then spend the afternoon as spectators watching the horses and jockeys in action. We may even have a special surprise in store for a few lucky participants. Try your luck and join your fellow OLLI members for a wonderful day with the ponies by the bay!
Note: While we will be seated in the stadium for racing and in a dining room over lunch, there will be significant walking and climbing of stairs included in this course. Lunch cost included in class fee. Wear comfortable, sturdy shoes and bring a jacket in case of high winds along the bay.
