Political Communication and Campaigns

How do voters make decisions? What to make of political polling? How do political campaigns change public opinion? This course answers these questions and more. We will explore what causes voters to turn out on Election Day. You will also learn about political advertising (positive, negative and emotional ads) and what voters can learn from advertisements and campaign finance reform. If you’re not familiar with political science, you will leave this course prepared to consume and dissect the 2016 election like an expert.
