This course continues the exploration of Britain’s global conflicts during the reign of Queen Victoria, focusing on three major struggles: the Crimean War, the Indian Mutiny and the Boer War. Participants will examine the expansion of the British Empire, resistance from Indigenous peoples, imperial politics and the international tensions that shaped the Victorian era.
