This talk traces how China progressed from poverty and conflict to global economic and military predominance. Two questions will be explored: Can China sustain growth and innovation so as to become Global Number One in the near future? What are the implications for China's neighbors, partners, and rivals, particularly the United States and, more generally, the West?
