In this seminar we will explore the scholarly work of the last 200 years, beginning with Albert Sweitzer and ending with contemporary scholars. We will compare what can be known about the historical person Jesus of Nazareth and what the church has said about Jesus, the historical Jesus and the Christ of faith.
