Join your OLLI classmates for some of the best contemporary film depictions of print and broadcast journalism: All the President's Men (1976), Network (1976), Broadcast News (1987) and The Paper (1994). These films masterfully create character studies of newsmakers. Historic context will be provided prior to each film. Class discussions will provide a chance to critique each film's narrative style, pacing, cinematic technique and authenticity. Come watch people smoke at their desks, fumble for change in phone booths and answer their doorbells in the middle of the night!
