As for many years, we will be providing the opportunity to discuss a number of short stories (two to three each week) as published in The Best American Short Stories 2021. These lively literary discussions in a friendly environment have become a treasured summer tradition among Davis OLLI participants. This year’s stories were selected by celebrated two-time National Book Award winner Jesmyn Ward. Much of her work projects her very personal perspective of African-American family culture in Mississippi. Class participants can enroll in either one of the two courses, or both. Let's all get back together for some good summer reading!
