Tour this exquisite mansion and 16-acre formal garden, part of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Built by Mr. and Mrs. William Bowers Bourn (of Empire Mine fame) starting in 1915, the house and garden are complementary units. We will visit a considerable portion of the grounds and house and learn about the prominent architects and designers who helped create this Northern California masterpiece!
Note: Bus trip to Bay Area. Meet at UC Davis Extension, 1333 Research Park Dr., Parking Lot 81, at 8:00 a.m. to board the bus. Participants must be able to get on the bus on their own and be able to walk through the venue and grounds (two-hour walk) unassisted. Class fee includes bus transportation, Filoli café box lunch and entrance fee to the estate. Must enroll before April 15. Further details will be mailed to registrants before the trip.
