Every March, UC Davis’ Stebbins Cold Canyon Reserve (SCCR) bursts with wildflowers in spectacular diversity. Enjoy this landscape with experts from the SCCR Docent Program. Learn the names and characteristics of local wildflowers. Join a nature “eco” artist to sketch wildflowers in ink and color. Learn best techniques for nature photography and how your photos can contribute to the iNaturalist Project Partnership. Participate in a ½ to 3-mile hike. Surfaces will range from flat and open to uneven and somewhat rocky. Sturdy shoes, water and layered clothing are recommended. Further details are provided one week in advance of class.
