Journalism is often called “the first draft of history.” This seminar explores editorial, financial and social forces shaping news, from the “Golden Age” to today’s social media and AI. Participants will examine case studies and engage in discussions about how stories are built and journalism’s future.

Enrollment Policies

Course enrollments close two (2) business days before the course start date. To receive a refund, withdrawal requests must be submitted by this same deadline. No refunds are given after the refund deadline. All withdrawal requests are subject to a $10 processing fee. If OLLI cancels a course, participants will receive a full refund. OLLI memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable.
