Evidence Based Practices for Autism Spectrum Disorder

This class provides participants with a general understanding of the criteria for judging an instructional practice to be evidence based. It also examines the recommended strategies and methodologies for instructing individuals with autism and strategies for effectively collaborating with a wide variety of professionals and service providers. This course covers the following strategies: visual supports, modeling, video modeling, scripting, social narratives, social skills training, peer play group, peer mediated interventions and parent training and interventions.
