Acquire the knowledge, practical skills and tools you need to conduct incident investigations. Designed with both the novice and seasoned professional in mind, topics in this interactive course include: principles of incident investigation, responsibilities in the investigation process, investigation planning and preparation, the seven steps of initial response, tools and techniques for investigation, the collection and examination of information, root cause analysis, the incident investigation report, and effective real-world corrective actions. Guest experts will present special topics.

This is a required course for the Workplace Health and Safety Manager Certificate Program.

Section Notes

This is an online, remote learning course, which consists of content and curriculum that is taught with pre-recorded and real time lectures, in addition to real-time lecture/Q&A sessions with the instructors. Pre-recorded lectures and live sessions are accessed via our Canvas learning system and Zoom. Details regarding login information, the availability of lectures and the time(s) of instructor Q&As will be emailed out prior to the course start date.

This course opens January 12-15 with live sessions on January 13 3:00-5:00 pm and January 15 9:00 am-12:00 pm.
