Operating a successful vineyard requires cultivating a wealth of practical knowledge, current techniques and insights on industry best practices. Designed for vineyard owners, vineyard managers and workers, winemakers, enologists and aspiring vineyard professionals, this course explores topics ranging from the planting of a vineyard to managing the vineyard throughout its growing cycle. Through online lectures from expert UC Cooperative Farm Advisors and interactive course material, the course will focus on vineyard management techniques and key considerations for producing and harvesting quality fruit. At the end of the course, you will know the best practices for planting and maintaining vineyards for various wine styles, be able to design irrigation and nutritional programs, and manage canopies to maintain a healthy and successful vineyard.
