Wildlife and Waterways: A Guided Auto Tour of theYolo Bypass
Explore the Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area on a guided carpool tour. Riding in shared vehicles, participants will use walkie-talkies to hear expert commentary, ask questions and discover the region’s rich wildlife and ecological significance. The tour also highlights the history of the Bypass and its vital role in regional water management.

All fees are nonrefundable and may be transferred no later than November 12 to another ADULT participant if you are unable to attend. No participants under age 18 allowed.
This field trip may be cancelled due to inclement weather. Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. The outing may include periods of walking and standing in viewing areas. You may wish to bring binoculars or a camera.
This tour will be conducted as a guided carpool through the Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area. Participants will travel in shared vehicles, riding together to minimize environmental impact and maintain group cohesion. Walkie-talkies will be provided so riders can hear expert commentary, ask questions, and share observations throughout the drive. Carpool details, including meeting location and vehicle assignments, will be emailed one week in advance of the trip.
Student credit may not be applied to this event. OLLI membership required.
Enrollment Policies
COURSE FEES FOR THIS FIELD TRIP ARE NOT REFUNDABLE AFTER YOU HAVE ENROLLED.
If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your purchase to another ADULT (age 18 or older) through November 12. After this date, no transfers are allowed, and all fees are forfeited to OLLI. Contact olli@ucdavis.edu in the event you need to transfer your purchase to another attendee.
