Ashley Hall

Ashley Hall is the director of the Forensic Science Graduate Program. She earned her M.S. in Forensic Biochemistry and Ph.D. in Biomolecular Science from the University of Central Florida, focusing on limited and damaged DNA. She has more than 20 years of experience as a forensic scientist, including time in the defense industry and at two Big 10 universities.

At UC Davis, Dr. Hall teaches the DNA courses in the Forensic Science Program and runs an active research lab. Her graduate students work on various projects dealing with touch/trace level and how it can be used to define activities at a crime scene.
