3 CEU option for participants of Arab Studies in the K-12 Classroom Educator Institute in California
This is the first Arab American Studies in the K-12 Classroom Educator Institute in California. It is a four-day intensive Virtual Program via Zoom, June 28-30, 2022 andJul 27, 2022. Additionally during the month of July, participants will work in groups for 6 hours with other critical educators, artists, and content specialists to develop one lesson plan they will implement, using what they learned in the institute.
What is Arab American Studies? Why does Arab American Studies matter in the K-12 classroom? How can we as educators learn to hold, understand, and engage Arab American histories and narratives? What can this look like in our classes and curricula?
The 2022 Summer K-12 Institute on Arab American Studies invites education professionals of all grade levels and subjects to learn from and connect with thought leaders and practitioners about core concepts in Arab American studies.
