The Online Teaching and Learning Academy (OTLA) is an intensive nine-week online course for those interested in designing and facilitating pedagogically sound online or hybrid courses.
The summer session of this course will be fully online and facilitated by a local faculty member. You will work asynchronously on your projects and will be required to meet assignment deadlines each week. You will need to devote about 10 hours per week to successfully complete the course. By the end of the course you will have a well-developed Orientation Module for your online course, as well as one content unit that employs online best practices. This content unit will serve as the model for which you will base the rest of your online-course construction. Continuing education credits will be available for those who successfully complete the course.
Please note that this is not a "How to Use Canvas" series. Prior familiarity with basic Canvas functionality required.
