Teaching with Primary Sources Level II

This course is a 3.5 CEU option for those participating in The History Project at UC Davis’ workshop. Participants will explore the Library of Congress' rich reservoir of digitized primary source materials to engage and challenge their students through inquiry learning, which includes attention to building academic literacy as defined in the California Common Core Standards. Participants will create primary-source-based lessons with the support of experienced teacher-leaders. After teaching the lesson and collecting student work samples, they will examine student work, reflect on the results, identify best practices and revise their lessons.
