Dean Catron Named One of UC Davis' 55 "Remarkable Women"
Susan Catron, dean of UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education, was named to a list of “Remarkable UC Davis Women,” which was compiled as part of a celebration marking the 150th anniversary of the admission of women to the University of California. Catron is the division’s first female dean. The list, comprising 55 women, includes mayors, chief justices and astronauts, as well as UC Davis faculty and leadership, and others.
UC Berkeley is leading this celebration, which features a history of women at UC and a series of events. Berkeley invited other UC campuses to submit lists of significant alumni, faculty and staff. The “Remarkable UC Davis Women” list was compiled by the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at UC Davis.
