Creekhouse

Re-set Your Personal Compass

The Creekhouse at Rigdzin Ling Buddhist Retreat in the Trinity Alps will be the tranquil base for OLLI’s Mindfulness Retreat, April 5 - 7.

We live in an age of relentless anticipation—a barrage of media and uncertainty about the future. In this three-day retreat, get away and focus on a restorative series of mindfulness discussions and nature walks, promoting self-compassion, reflecting on the natural world and creative activity to renew the spirit. Longtime mindfulness leader Sue Banducci will lead our group through all activities for this special weekend.

The Creekhouse, situated beside a peaceful brook on the grounds, will be our private home for the weekend. The facility includes a classroom space for our group activities, a dining room and expansive dormitory style sleeping quarters. It provides a setting for "letting go" of boundaries and settling in, recognizing everyone’s respect for our shared humanity.

Evenings on the screen porch beside the creek will be a tranquil space for conversation, drinks and relaxation. We’ll also get to visit the Prayer House and meet the Lama in residence. Meals are included.

Space is limited to 10 participants age 50+. For more information, visit the course listing on our website. You can also send an email to olli@ucdavis.edu for more specific questions. Enrollment closes March 20.
