The American Presidency

Online
Late historian Arthur M. Schlesinger said, “The president is the central player in the American political order.” This course examines the presidency, starting with the creation of the office at the Constitutional Convention. What did the founders intend with the office? How did it work in reality and how has the office evolved over time? Which presidents were considered to be the best, who ranked the worst and what made them different?
