Fundamental Conflict Resolution Skills
Practice facilitation and mediation skills and techniques required for successful individual, group and team meetings. Learn strategies to minimize and address conflict in difficult conversations and with difficult people. Explore tools to assess and engage diverse community interests and participants in a meaningful and productive way. Fundamental Conflict Resolution Skills builds upon curriculum learned in the Introduction to Conflict Resolution class, but participation in that class is not a prerequisite to taking this course.
Course Format and Pacing
This is an online remote learning course delivered through UC Davis CPE’s learning management system, Canvas, with supplemental live sessions hosted on Zoom. The course consists of approximately 20 hours of content, combining pre-recorded lectures with a mandatory live Zoom session led by the instructor(s).

This is an online, remote learning course, which consists of 20 hours of content and curriculum that is taught with pre-recorded lectures as well all mandatory live Zoom session with the instructor(s). Pre-recorded lectures and live sessions are accessed via our Canvas learning system and Zoom. This course is the same length as a standard 3 day, in-person course, please be sure to plan your schedule accordingly.
This course is open February 23 thru March 27 with live sessions on the following dates & times:
Live session 1 on Wednesday 3/04 from 4:00 – 5:30 PM PST
Live session 2 on Wednesday 3/11 from 4:00 – 5:30 PM PST
Live session 3 on Wednesday 3/18 from 4:00 – 5:30 PM PST
Live session 4 on Wednesday 3/25 from 4:00 – 5:30 PM PST
Attendance of the live sessions is mandatory to receive credit for this course.
We allow registration through the 12:00 PM PST (noon) on the first day of the course. We cannot extend course access beyond 11:59 PM on last day of class, so students pursuing a late enrollment acknowledge that they will have less time to complete the materials. Please contact the course representative with any questions.
