A writing class for those who want to write, polish, keep or share their memories. Friendly encouragement and direction will be provided to motivate your writing. Opportunities to read your stories aloud and learn from others. Prompts provided! Professional publishing is not the goal, but help with punctuation, grammar and sentence structure will be available. Limited enrollment.

The Zoom link to participate in this course will be provided via email the day before the FIRST session of every course. Students should save the link for all upcoming sessions of any class. OLLI does NOT send repeat reminders and links after a course begins.

Lorraine Visher

Lorraine Visher has participated in many writing workshops and read her work at the Other Voice Poetry Group. During the pandemic, she personally continued to offer the a memoir course online through the Davis Senior Center. Lorraine is a retired public school teacher who enjoys travel, kayaking, watercolor painting, singing and memoir writing.
