Pete Hagens

Pete Hagens has over 13 years of experience as a project scheduler, Primavera application trainer and implementation specialist. Mr. Hagens has developed both in-person and virtual training courses for Primavera applications for beginner and advanced users. These courses draw on experience acquired while providing consulting services for owners, general contractors and subcontractors across many industries, including heavy civil, commercial, residential, oil and gas and medical. The scheduling services provided include development and review of proposal, baseline and update schedules, as well as time impact evaluations. 

Moises Hernandez

Moises Hernandez is a Level 2 Estimator with Kaiser Permanente. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from UC Davis in 2017. Shortly after his studies, he began working in the education field with high school students, while concurrently completing the Construction Management Certificate Program from UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education. Since then, Hernandez has obtained his Associate Estimating Professional Certification from the American Society of Professional Estimators, participated in Advanced Estimating Studies with industry leading professionals, and has taken on a trainer role at Kaiser Permanente. 

Joann Hillenbrand

Zafar Inam

Zafar Inam holds a Bachelors's and Masters's Degree in Civil Engineering from Cal Poly Pomona and Cal State Fullerton, respectively. Inam has over 15 years of experience in the Construction Engineering and Management industry. He has worked in the private and public sectors on heavy construction, highway, bridge and infrastructure projects. Inam currently works for the State of California in the Bridge and Structures Construction Division, and he is a licensed General Engineering-A and General Building-B contractor in California.  

Brett Mitchell

Brett Mitchell, Ph.D., is Director of Facilities Expansion at the University of California, Davis Health. Prior to joining UC Davis, Brett began his career in construction. He then transitioned towards education, teaching math and physics, and later becoming a high school principal. Brett eventually became the Director of Facilities for the San Juan Unified School District, where he managed a $2.4 Billion-dollar capital improvement effort. Brett’s post Graduate studies include a Master’s Degree in Education Administration and a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership. His uncommon career path and professional experience gives Brett a unique ability to manage capital improvement interests from the perspective of both a builder and an educator. 

Akop Muraydan

Akop (Jacob) Muradyan has over 18 years of experience as a project scheduler in the construction industry. As a Senior Scheduler for Swinerton, Mr. Muradyan is responsible for developing project schedules with project superintendents and managers, starting from preconstruction baseline development through final completion. He works with the project team to ensure best schedule practices are implemented to provide accurate updating, reporting and planning. Mr. Muradyan is regularly invited to speak at events on topics related to scheduling and avoiding project delays. He is a certified Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP) and serves as the President of the AACE Capital California section. 

Juli Riles

Juli Riles grew up in construction working for her family’s electrical subcontracting business on school holidays and summer breaks. For the last 15 years she has served as the Controller for several Sacramento area specialty and general contractors. Currently, she is the Director of Finance for ZBeta Consulting, Inc., which specializes in the design and engineering of physical security systems. A life-long learner, Juli is a former student with UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education and has earned several certifications including Certified Managerial Accountant (CMA), Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP) and Senior Professional of Human Resources (SPHR).

Megan Shapiro

Megan Shapiro has over a decade of experience practicing construction law. As a partner at Radoslovich | Shapiro, PC, she has represented owners, general contractors, subcontractors, design professionals and everything in between in all facets of construction law. Amir Zavichi

Amir Zavichi is an experienced Construction Manager and Instructor with a demonstrated history of working in the maritime industry. Skilled in AutoCAD, contract management, Lean construction and optimization. Zavichi is a strong program and project management professional with a Ph.D. focused in Civil Engineering and Construction Management from the University of Central Florida.
