Ibrahim Alkeilani is a data science engineer with a master's degree in electrical engineering and a versatile professional background in engineering and technical applications. He has experience working with several companies over 15 years, most recently for Ushr, a geospatial measurement and software company for advanced driver assistance, as a back-end engineer helping to develop the structure of the company's map development software application. Alkeilani has an extensive portfolio of technical skills, including data crunching, manipulation and cleaning; preprocessing and validation; and exploratory data analysis.

Pramod Gupta hold master’s and doctoral degrees in electrical and computer engineering and has over 20 years of experience in industrial, academic, and R & D settings, including three years as a research scientist for NASA Ames Research Center. In addition to UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education, Gupta also teaches Python and data science at UC Berkeley Extension and Northeastern University, as well as works as an independent data scientist and consultant. His Expertise includes controls, simulation and modeling, robotics, machine learning, deep learning, data modeling, data analysis and predictive analytics.

 

Alayna Myrick headshot

Alayna C. Myrick is a data insights scientist at Verana Health and a seasoned instructor. She has experience as a project manager, instructor, consultant and data scientist, and is a certified Tableau Desktop specialist. Myrick began coaching and instructing courses in 2016 and has since been a supplemental instructor for courses in economics, mathematics, data visualization, project management and computer science at her alma mater, University of the Pacific. Al Pangelinan is an independent verification and validation (IV&V) specialist at Public Consulting Group and is an adjunct professor at Sierra College. He has been in the IT industry for over 25 years and has experience with IV&V, project management, quality assurance, independent project oversight, enterprise software development and web application development. Pangelinan has been involved in major projects including the Intel Web Invoice Project, the Office of Systems Integration MEDS Modernization Planning Project, SIMM 19 and Project Approval Lifecycle as a project manager. Erez Powell is a software engineer and college educator. He has worked for multinational corporations, startups and everything in between over his 15+ year career. The majority of Powell's experience comes from the digital games industry, rounded out by educational technology and mobile app development. Powell has taught Python, C++ and Unity with C#. He has previously worked as a business intelligence developer for the U.S. Department of the Treasury and has taught data analysis, visualization and storytelling courses at the Department of the Treasury and U.S. Digital Services. Rutherford is an expert on data science, cloud computing, software development, deep learning and data visualization.
